Talking Nursery Rhymes

Verse 1

I don’t know if I like, what the grapevine brings back to me.

I don’t know without looking, if I like what I see.

But if the stories that I’ve been told, are 50% true.

Then I think that it’s time I told this fairy tale to you.

Can’t cry wolf, but oh, so many times.

How long, can you get away, Talking Nursery Rhymes?

You better remember Humpty Dumpty Baby, you’re about to take a fall.

And if you think I’m yolking darling, wait for me to call.

Verse 2

I haven’t done nothing, but sweetheart treat you good.

Somehow you never come off, treating me like you should.

If you don’t think I’ll cut you loose, better think again.

Cause the fairytale you’re telling me is about to end.

Slow and steady, baby, always wins the race.

Brer Rabbit took a nap, while Turtle set his pace.

Bugsy slept just a little too long and when he did awake.

He got to the finish just in time to see the Turtle laughing in his face.

Verse 3

The more I think about it, the less I want to take.

Wondering, if you know baby, what’s at stake.

I don’t like what’s going on, deed I don’t.

Don’t want to take no more and baby, huh, I think I won’t.

Can’t cry wolf, but oh, so many times.

How long, can you get away, Talking Nursery Rhymes?

You better remember Humpty Dumpty Baby, you’re about to take a fall,

And if you think I’m yolking darling, wait for me to call.
